ICOP member, Dr. Muhammad Hafiz encouraged this kind of membership by saying:

"Currently there are hundreds of Mosques which are scattered throughout out different countries; these Mosques have control over their members and at the same time many of them might be committing errors in respect to the Islamic months. I am suggesting that ICOP open membership to these Mosques and Islamic Organizations so that the leaders, members and Mosques can become aware of what is happening globally and within ICOP. A system can be established where by each Mosque or organization can assign a responsible representative to communicate with ICOP and his organization. In this manner he would be able to communicate with his organization via ICOP. On the same note, crescent observation could be done at each Mosque on a collective basis for each month, once they are reminded via ICOP emails and representative.

In Guyana the Imam of Rose Hall town Mosque have been doing this for years among the members at the Mosque. Recently I have started communicating this information from Rose Hall town Mosque to ICOP. Perhaps its time ICOP adds a new category of "Affiliated Mosques and Organizations of ICOP" in the same manner in which we have ICOP Members and ICOP Friends. If a Mosque or organization knows they are part of a bigger organization which span the globe and link different countries, I see no reason why they will fail to participate. I feel its time ICOP extends its reach to organizations and not individuals only. Via email and good representation, thousands of Muslims can use the correct calculation, calendars and data on a monthly basis in a inexpensive manner."
