- ICOP member Mr. Saleh Al-Saab: Not seen. "The crescent sets after (17) minutes of the sunset, and the altitude was only (3) degrees ."
- Algeria:
- ICOP member Mr. Bankih Kacem: Not seen. (Cloudy)
- Nigeria:
- ICOP member Mr. Usman Duhhu: Not seen. "It was cloudy here in Bauchi."
Sunday 18 July 2004:
- Brunei:
- ICOP member Mr. Hazarry Haji Ali Ahmad: Not seen. (Cloudy). "Present at the new moon sighting site were personel from the Survey Department and the members of the Astronomical Society of Brunei."

- ICOP member Mr. Bankih Kacem: Not seen. "The western horizon was prtly clody, the Jumada II 1425 crescent was not seen. Mercury was seen betweenn clouds but not the crescent."

- ICOP member Mr. Abdurrazak Ebrahim: Seen. "The Hilaal for Jamadith Thani was sighted from various localities in South Africa, viz. Kimberley, Stellenbosch, and Signal Hill."

- ICOP member Mr. Gulamabbas Khakoo: Seen. "Sighted the crescent with naked eye this evening of Sunday, July 18th, 2004 local time 8:15pm here in Long Beach, area of greater Los Angeles, California. USA. The top horn of the crescent was between 12&1 and the bottom horn was between 7&8 closer to 7. The sighting was very clear. "
